Authorize Mailchimp in Catchr and select the account. In Catchr’s Power BI query builder, select sends, opens, clicks and unsubscribes for a completed campaign and preview a short extraction. Import the generated URL through Get data > Web in Power BI Desktop. Check the returned rows before building measures, keeping campaign ID and time elapsed since sending clear in the model.
Catchr includes emails sent, total and unique opens, total and unique clicks, hard and soft bounces, and unsubscribes. It also exposes campaign, audience and link information. Choose fields from the reporting level you need: a campaign summary and a link-level table answer different questions.
Mailchimp needs the relevant tracking enabled to record those statistics. Check the original campaign and its tracking settings before troubleshooting the dashboard. A connector cannot recreate engagement that was never tracked. Also confirm that the selected date range includes the campaign you want to analyze.
Total clicks include repeated activity. Unique metrics reduce repeat counting, but Mailchimp distinguishes unique links and unique subscribers, so select the field that matches your question. To assess how many recipients engaged, use a subscriber-based metric; to compare destinations within an email, use the link-level report.
Mailchimp can filter Apple privacy opens and automated clicks in its reports. A filtered report may therefore show lower engagement than an unfiltered view of the same campaign. Check the filtering status on both sides before comparing, and use clicks and conversions alongside opens when evaluating results.
Show hard bounces, soft bounces and unsubscribes beside sends for each campaign. Use rates as well as counts to make large and small sends comparable. Investigate campaigns where these indicators rise together, and check the audience and delivery report in Mailchimp before deciding what caused the change.
Yes. Add GA4 to compare email engagement with visits and website outcomes. Use consistent campaign tags on links. Mailchimp clicks and GA4 sessions are different measurements, so compare trends and tagged campaigns rather than expecting the two totals to be identical.
Recipients can open or click a message after the send date. A campaign summary may accumulate that activity, so a later refresh can update an older campaign's figures. Compare campaigns at a similar age, such as a fixed number of days after sending, when judging which message performed better.
