Frequently asked questions

How do I connect AppsFlyer to Power BI?

Connect AppsFlyer in Catchr and select the app and acquisition report you need. In Catchr’s Power BI query builder, select campaign acquisition metrics and the relevant in-app events and preview a short extraction. Import the generated URL through Get data > Web in Power BI Desktop. Check the returned rows before building measures, keeping app, attribution window and event definitions clear in the model.

What is the difference between activity revenue and lifetime revenue?

Activity revenue describes revenue generated during the selected activity period. Lifetime or cohort reporting follows users acquired in a defined period and measures their subsequent value. These answer different questions. Use the same reporting basis on both sides of a comparison rather than assuming that matching dates make the totals equivalent.

Can I compare event counts with the number of users who converted?

Yes. Catchr includes event-counter, sales and unique-user fields for supported events such as purchases and registrations. A user can perform an event several times, so the event count can exceed the number of people involved. Label each measure clearly when calculating conversion or purchase frequency.

Can I analyze performance by campaign, ad set and ad?

Catchr exposes campaign, ad-set and ad identifiers alongside app and channel information. Use IDs where possible to avoid combining different campaigns that share a name. Keep the app identifier in multi-app reports, because the same campaign label may be used across several products.

Why do AppsFlyer and an ad network report different conversions?

Compare the attribution lookback, attributed touch type, event definition and reporting dates. Also check whether one report is activity-based and the other follows an acquisition cohort. A difference in those rules can change the totals even when both systems received the underlying event.

Should I add daily active users to get monthly active users?

No. The same user can be active on several days. Adding daily counts therefore does not produce a deduplicated monthly audience. Catchr includes activity DAU and MAU-related fields; use the metric for the period you intend to describe and preserve its definition in the chart title.

Can I combine AppsFlyer with TikTok Ads cost data?

Yes. Add TikTok Ads to compare advertising investment with app outcomes. Match campaign IDs, currency and the acquisition period. Keep network-reported conversions separate from AppsFlyer's attribution view instead of adding both counts together.

Your next report should not start with five exports.
