Authorize the Shopify store in Catchr with access to the reporting data. In Catchr’s Power BI query builder, select order identifiers and totals before adding a separate product table and preview a short extraction. Import the generated URL through Get data > Web in Power BI Desktop. Check the returned rows before building measures, keeping order and product-line grains, refunds and currency clear in the model.
Check the exact measure before comparing: gross sales, net sales and total sales are different. Discounts, returns, taxes and shipping can change the result. Also align the reporting period and order filters. Compare a few individual orders first; matching a label alone does not prove that two reports use the same calculation.
Show refunds separately from gross sales so a change in net revenue is easier to explain. Shopify sales reports can place returns on the date they are processed, while an order-based dataset may attach a refund to its original order. Check that date treatment before reconciling daily figures or comparing a month with Shopify Analytics.
Yes. Catchr includes product identifiers, titles, variants and SKU information, together with line-level sales fields. Build a product table using line-level values. Do not sum a whole order's value for every product in that order, or a multi-product basket will inflate the total.
Keep the reporting level clear. One order can contain several line items, so an order count based on product rows can be too high. Use distinct order IDs for the number of orders and line-level values for product analysis. Validate the totals before combining order and product charts.
Yes. Add Facebook Ads to compare store sales with advertising spend. Shopify records store transactions, while Meta reports purchases attributed to ads. Use both views to assess performance, but do not expect attributed revenue to equal total store revenue or represent a deduplicated view across every channel.
Yes. Connect the stores you manage and retain a store identifier in the dashboard. Standardize currencies and the sales definition before producing a combined total. Keep separate store views available so an agency or brand team can trace a change back to the store responsible.
Orders alone do not provide the number of store visits needed for a session conversion rate. Add a traffic source such as GA4 if that is the denominator you want to use, and label the calculation accordingly. A ratio built from Shopify orders and GA4 sessions may differ from Shopify's own conversion-rate report.
