Add the review source in Catchr using the country and property path after /hotel/, without the language or file extension. Select the configured profile, app or property. Build a Power BI query with review titles and dates, preview the returned reviews and import the generated URL using Get data > Web in Power BI Desktop. Set review dates and rating types in Power Query, and retain the source identifier when combining several profiles.
This source reports guest reviews, not reservation transactions. It exposes individual ratings, review dates, titles, positive and negative comments, language, reviewer information, and reply text when available. Current property summaries include Average Rating and Review Count. It does not provide occupancy, room revenue, cancellations, commissions, or payout reconciliation. Bring those measures from your booking or property-management system if you want to relate guest feedback to business performance.
Booking.com uses a weighted review system in which recent reviews have more influence on the overall score. A simple average of the reviews retrieved for your selected dates will not necessarily reproduce that score. Check that you are comparing the same property and that your chart covers the intended review period. Also verify the raw value and display format against Booking.com's ten-point scale; a rating shown as a percentage can be misleading.
The current Catchr Booking Review catalog does not expose separate cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, location, value, or Wi-Fi subscores. It provides the individual overall Rating plus Pros and Cons text, which you can read or group by keywords to investigate recurring issues. Booking.com collects overall scores independently of subscores, so averaging category scores would not reproduce the overall rating. Treat your own text categories as analysis, not official Booking.com subratings.
Count distinct Review IDs by Review DateTime to measure reviews posted during a period. Include Rating, Pros, Cons, and Reply Text in a table to inspect complaints and reviews with no returned reply. An empty reply should be checked on Booking.com before follow-up. The connector does not expose a reply timestamp, so it cannot directly calculate response time. Use a separate summary chart for the property's current Review Count, which cannot be requested together with individual review fields.
One request is not a complete historical archive. Catchr pages through available reviews until the date boundary or end of results, with a stopping threshold of roughly 1,000 matching reviews. Use smaller review-date ranges for busy properties and inspect the actual returned coverage. Older reviews that the platform no longer makes available cannot be recovered by widening a dashboard filter. A property's current review total is also not a historical count for every date in your report.
Yes. Configure the property identifiers you manage and retain Account ID when comparing individual reviews. For a wider reputation report, add Tripadvisor reviews or Airbnb reviews and map each listing to the corresponding property. Keep platform, rating scale, date range, and review count visible. Compare recurring complaints and recent rating trends rather than merging ten-point and five-point ratings into an unexplained average.
