Create a New Query

Open a new or existing Google Sheets document and locate the 'Catchr' option in the top menu. Click it, and from the dropdown, select 'New Query'. This action prompts the creation of a new query window, setting the stage for importing your HubSpot data.

Select Your Data Source

Within the query editor, it's necessary to specify the data source. Choose 'HubSpot' from the list. Should you not see HubSpot listed, add it as a new source by clicking the "+" icon adjacent to the source dropdown menu.

Select Your Account(s)

Move to the 'Select account(s)' section and highlight the specific HubSpot account(s) you wish to import data from. This is crucial for ensuring the accurate aggregation of data in your sheets.

Choose Metrics and Dimensions

Next step involves the selection of metrics and dimensions for your data import. Each choice defines the structure and the detail layer of your data reporting. Examples of metrics and dimensions from HubSpot you might select include:

Metrics:

  • Company Facebook Fans: Total fan count for the company’s Facebook Page.
  • Company Number of Pageviews: Total page views on the company's website.
  • Company Number of Sessions: Total sessions initiated on the company's website.
Select metrics

Dimensions:

  • Company Country/Region: Geographic location data of the company.
  • Company Industry: Sector the company operates within.
  • Company Annual Revenue: The yearly earnings of the company.
Select dimensions

Ensure the selected metrics and dimensions align with your analysis goals and reporting requirements.

Set Date Range

Adjust to the 'Date Range' tab to define the timeframe for your data pull. Catchr provides preset ranges such as 'Last month' or 'This year', alongside the option for custom date range selection to fit your precise needs.

Apply Filters

To further refine your data, proceed to the 'Filters' tab where you can narrow down your query based on specific criteria. A common filter setup for HubSpot data may be:

  • Field: Company Country/Region
  • Operator: Equals
  • Value: United States

For instance, filtering by 'Company Country/Region' Equals 'United States' will restrict the data to U.S.-based companies only.

Schedule & Customize Data Refreshness

The final step involves configuring your data refresh settings under the 'Options' tab. Choose to either manually refresh your data or set a schedule for automatic updates. Opt-in for additional options like appending or combining rows as necessary for your datasets.

Schedule data refresh

In conclusion, by following these steps, you'll seamlessly bridge your HubSpot data into Google Sheets, unlocking a host of potential for dynamic and insightful data analysis.
