Explore Hawk DSP delivery, costs and viewability

Start with the advertiser, campaign and reporting period you need to review. Use Hawk DSP metrics to explain delivery changes, separate media spend from fees and examine where ads appeared.

01

Campaign delivery and click efficiency

Review impressions, clicks and conversions by campaign and date. Add advertiser, campaign start and end times, budget and timezone to give your client report context.

Use click-through rate, cost per click USD and cost per thousand impressions USD to compare delivery efficiency. Keep conversions alongside these measures so the discussion covers more than traffic alone.

02

Media spend, fees and total cost

Explain the difference between Media Cost, Real Cost and Total Cost. Real Cost includes media, ad tech, third-party and ad serving costs; Total Cost also includes agency margin.

Break out Ad Tech Fees, Ad Serving Fees and Third-Party Cost when reviewing a client's cost structure. Keep media plan currency amounts separate from Media Cost USD, and confirm currencies before combining campaigns.

03

Placement delivery and measured viewability

Use App or Site ID and App or Site Name to examine where ads appeared. Compare impressions and clicks to identify placements worth a closer review.

For viewability analysis, compare IAB Viewed Display Impressions with Measured Display Impressions, and IAB Viewed Video Impressions with Measured Video Impressions. Keep display and video separate and use measured impressions as the denominator for each viewability calculation.

Connect Catchr MCP to your AI assistant

Connect Hawk DSP in Catchr with your API key and organization ID. The organization you enter is the one used for reporting; organizations are not automatically discovered.

Then connect your AI destination through Catchr MCP and ask for a focused campaign report over a selected date range. Your first reporting request checks whether the credentials can access the requested data.

Four Hawk DSP questions for your next client review

Replace the bracketed details with your organization, dates and review thresholds. Each prompt gives your AI tool a defined Hawk DSP reporting task and asks it to make calculation limits clear.

PROMPT 01

Explain a change in campaign clicks

Using Catchr, compare Hawk DSP campaigns for [organization ID] over [current start date] to [current end date] against [previous start date] to [previous end date]. Show Campaign ID, Campaign Name, impressions, clicks, conversions and Media Cost USD. Calculate each period's click-through rate from total clicks divided by total impressions, and cost per click USD from total Media Cost USD divided by total clicks. Rank campaigns by absolute click decline and identify whether impressions or click-through rate also fell. Leave ratios with zero denominators unknown and distinguish observed changes from possible explanations.

PROMPT 02

Break down campaign costs for a client

Using Catchr, review Hawk DSP costs for [organization ID] and [campaign IDs] from [start date] to [end date]. Show Media Cost, Ad Tech Fees, Ad Serving Fees, Third-Party Cost, Real Cost and Total Cost for each campaign. Calculate Total Cost minus Real Cost to show the agency margin amount, and flag campaigns where that amount exceeds [percentage threshold] of Total Cost. Keep campaigns separate unless their media plan currencies are confirmed to match, and leave shares unknown when Total Cost is zero.

PROMPT 03

Find placements to review for viewability

Using Catchr, analyze Hawk DSP placement viewability for [organization ID] and [campaign ID] from [start date] to [end date], grouped by App or Site ID and App or Site Name. Calculate display viewability as IAB Viewed Display Impressions divided by Measured Display Impressions, and video viewability as IAB Viewed Video Impressions divided by Measured Video Impressions. Evaluate display and video separately. Flag placements below [viewability threshold] only when the relevant measured impressions reach [minimum measured impressions]. Include the underlying counts and leave zero-denominator rates unknown.

PROMPT 04

Prepare a daily delivery review

Using Catchr, retrieve daily Hawk DSP impressions, clicks, conversions and Media Cost USD for [organization ID] and [campaign ID] from [start date] to [end date]. Include Campaign Start, Campaign End and Campaign Timezone as context. Flag returned dates with at least [minimum impressions] impressions and zero clicks. List dates with no returned rows separately from dates with reported zero values, and draft a short client-meeting note describing the patterns without assuming why they occurred.

Hawk DSP reporting with Catchr MCP: common questions

What do I need to connect Hawk DSP to Catchr MCP?

You need your Hawk DSP API key and organization ID. Connect that organization in Catchr, then use Catchr MCP with ChatGPT or Claude. Organizations are not automatically listed, and access errors may appear on the first reporting request.

How do Media Cost, Real Cost and Total Cost differ?

Media Cost is media spend in the media plan currency. Real Cost includes media, ad tech, third-party and ad serving costs. Total Cost adds agency margin to Real Cost. Media Cost USD is a separate dollar-denominated measure; confirm currencies before adding other cost fields across campaigns.

How should I interpret missing Hawk DSP efficiency metrics?

Cost per click USD is unknown when clicks are zero. Click-through rate and cost per thousand impressions USD are unknown when impressions are zero. Keep these values separate from reported zeros, and calculate summary rates from summed costs and counts rather than averaging row-level rates.

Can I request any date range and breakdown together?

Hawk DSP reporting windows depend on how many dimensions you request, and requests are capped. If a detailed report reaches a limit, shorten the date range or request fewer breakdowns. Reports can also return no rows; an empty result does not establish that every metric was zero.
