Explore the details behind your Mixpanel events

Catchr’s Mixpanel source covers raw event exports. Use Records to count exported events, then break those counts down by Event Name, date and the properties attached to each event. Event counts describe tracked activity; they are not counts of people.

01

Event volumes and activity over time

Group Records by Event Name and Date to see which tracked actions account for the most activity. Compare periods or use week, month and hour dimensions to examine when those actions occur.

Bring a focused summary to client reviews: which event counts changed, by how much and over which dates.

02

Campaign tags attached to tracked activity

Break down event counts by UTM Source, UTM Medium and UTM Campaign. Check which tagged campaigns appear alongside a selected event and how much activity has missing UTM values.

These fields describe campaign tags attached to events. They support an activity report, but do not establish campaign attribution or advertising efficiency.

03

Page, browser and geographic context

Use Current Url, Browser, Country Code and Region to compare where tracked events occur. For a selected Event Name, identify pages with the most records or examine differences in activity across browsers and locations.

Keep missing property values visible so clients can distinguish recorded context from gaps in the event data.

Four Mixpanel questions for your next client review

Replace the bracketed values with your client’s project, dates and reporting choices. These prompts use exported event counts and available event properties to produce focused comparisons and checks.

Questions about Mixpanel reporting with Catchr MCP

What Mixpanel data can I query through Catchr MCP?

The Mixpanel source covers raw event exports. You can analyze Records by Event Name, date, UTM tags, Current Url, Browser, Country Code and Region. Email and Device Id are also available as event dimensions when attached to the exported events.

What do I need to connect a Mixpanel project?

Use Catchr’s Mixpanel API-key authorization setup. Service-account access requires a project ID to scope requests. After connecting the relevant client project, connect ChatGPT or Claude through Catchr MCP and specify the project and date range in your questions.

Does Records measure events or unique users?

Records is a row counter with a value of one for each exported event. Summing it gives an event count. It does not give a unique-user count, and repeated events can contribute multiple records.

Can I use UTM fields to measure campaign results?

You can compare counts of selected events by UTM Source, UTM Medium and UTM Campaign and check for missing tags. This shows tagged event activity. The available fields do not include advertising spend or revenue, so they do not support CPA or ROAS calculations.
