Explore CommentSold payments, customers and shipping

Build your analysis around CommentSold order and customer data. Use order creation dates to define reporting periods, then choose the payment measures and shipping dimensions that answer your client's question.

01

Explain order payments and discounts

Review Payment Amount alongside Payment Subtotal, Payment Total, Payment Taxes and Payment Shipping. Keep the amount paid separate from the final order total when explaining store results.

Use Payment Coupon Discount and Payment Balance Applied to show coupon discounts and credits or previous payments applied to orders. Compare these measures across reporting periods to prepare a clearer payment breakdown.

02

Measure unique purchasing customers

Unique Customer measures the number of distinct people who purchased during a selected period. Compare it between client reporting periods to see whether purchasing activity involved more or fewer customers.

Customer data also includes email and street address. Keep customer-level detail focused on questions that need it, and use the unique customer measure for a concise audience summary.

03

Break down shipping charges by destination

Group order payment measures by shipping country code, state, city or ZIP code. Review where Payment Shipping is concentrated and compare it with Payment Subtotal for the same destinations.

Use Date or Year month to track these breakdowns over time. Payment Shipping represents the shipping cost applied to the order; it does not establish delivery performance or shipping profitability.

CommentSold reporting through Catchr MCP: FAQs

What do I need to connect CommentSold to Catchr MCP?

You need your CommentSold API token and Shop ID to connect the source in Catchr. Then select the relevant connected shop and use an AI destination such as ChatGPT or Claude through Catchr MCP to query its data.

What is the difference between Payment Amount and Payment Total?

Payment Amount is the total amount paid for an order. Payment Total is the final total after discounts and taxes. Report them separately, alongside subtotal, taxes, shipping, coupon discounts and balance applied, rather than treating them as interchangeable.

How should I use Unique Customer in a client report?

Use Unique Customer to report the distinct people who purchased within a selected period. Query each full reporting period separately: adding daily unique counts can count the same purchaser more than once. A change in this measure alone does not distinguish new from returning customers.

Which date does CommentSold order reporting use?

Order reporting uses the order creation date. You can organize results with date dimensions such as Date, Year month and Year Quarter. Describe these as order creation periods; they do not establish when a payment settled or a shipment arrived.
