How to connect Google Play Store to Catchr

Connecting your Google Play Store account to Catchr is the best way to make your Apps data accessible to your best reporting tools. To connect your account, you will need to grant access to our Google Services account, find your bucket ID in your Google Play Store account and create a new Source on Catchr with it. Once done, your Google Play Apps data will be accessible on Looker Studio, Google Sheets, PowerBI, Tableau...

We will cover everything in this article.

Granting access to our Google Services account:

For this first step, you will need Admin-level access to your Google Play Console Developer Account.

Here is our Google Services account : "google-play-store@helpful-monitor-297210.iam.gserviceaccount.com"

Copy it (without the quotes).

Then go to your Google Play Store account, Users and Permissions and invite our account.

You must give it the following permissions:

  1. View app information and download bulk reports (read-only).
  2. View financial data, orders, and cancellation survey responses.
  3. Manage store presence.

IMPORTANT: Ensure both "App Permissions" and "Account Permissions" are given. You can find those two tabs under "Permission":

Please note that Google can take up to 30h to confirm the new access.

Now, you have granted access to our Google Services. Now let's find your bucket ID and create your Catchr Source.

Finding your Bucket Id :

  • Select any option below the "Download Reports" section on the menu.
