Looker Studio is great for sharing reports, but sometimes, it is hard to keep track of who can access which data source. This might lead to you wanting to remove data from a report, but you cannot be sure that your data source won't be accessible anymore for everyone.
We will see how to remove a data source from a report and Looker Studio.

Remove data source from a report:

Embedded data source:

Open a report in edition mode, then open the data source menu:

Go to Resource -> Manage added data sources.

Identify the data source you want to remove. If it is Embedded in the report, you can click on Remove data source which will remove your data source from Looker Studio.

You can also revoke the credentials of a data source. It is a great way to prevent access to it. Only someone who can connect to the underlying data set (IE where the data is, Meta if it is Meta data, etc.) will be able to reconnect the data source and use it.
