How to change data source in Looker Studio ?

In Looker Studio, every charts is associated to a data source. This data source indicate the data origin. And for every charts, you can select this data source.

We will see here how to change a data source in a charts and how to change the data source for multiple charts.

Change data source in a Looker Studio charts:

Here is how to change your data source :

Select the charts.
At the top of the set up column, locate the "Data Source" section and click on it.

Data Source associated to this component. Click on it to modify it.

Here is the list of all available data source in your report ("added data source") and the data source available for your account ("available data source"). Select the one you want.

You can also add a new data source by clicking the "Add data" link, at the bottom of the data source list.

Mass edit data sources charts:

You can edit the data source of several charts at once.

Select multiple charts (hold CTRL or CMD and select multiple charts, or right click on a chart -> Select -> Select a selection option).

Select all charts with the same data source in the page.

Then in the set-up column, locate the data source configuration section.

Click on it and choose which data source to use for all the selected charts.
